Why The Lack of Post?

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Hi and how are you all doing? I am doing just fine here. Hope you all too. Its pretty rainy still Penang. It rained for more than half a day, non-stop yesterday. Feeling a bit cold at 22 degrees Celcius. I thought after all those 5 degrees in Melb, the 22s would be fine, but it ain't so. Haha.

Well, i am very sorry for the lack of post lately. Mainly there are two reasons.

1) The Malaysian governments policy to allow Telekom to monopolise the broadband market.
Since, other broadband companies are not allowed to operate in Malaysia, my one semester MicroEcons knowledge explains that, that is the reason for the SKY HIGH price and 'super screwed up' broadband quality of Telekom Malaysia. (Anyway i am using dial up)

2) My beautiful T371TCi* is still under repair. (*My laptop)

Hope you all doing good. And, if you have something nice to share, please do send to me. Comment in one of the post or email to suhaimi14@yahoo.com.

P.S. No comments at all and very little tags. But the counter (which was launched on the 1st of Dec 2005) is making positive readings. Thanks to all the readers, and if you have anything at all, please leave something. Thanks.

Why it is so?

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Hello, everyone. How is everything? I am currently writing from my very little room in Penang. Haha, apparently after i left the room was made into a store and now i am sleeping in the hall. MasyaAllah, how things change!

Its pretty rainy here. I am working about 6 hours in a coffee shop. While working, and going around, i found out something that is worth posting. Something that most people have no intention of doing it, feeling it and such but it happens.

Being is both situation of doing and feeling, i realize that it is funny and that it requires a lot to remedy this problem.

I found out that this feeling are extremely hard to avoid when talking about religion. Either simple discussion, giving advice or taking advice.

1) Whenever someone gives me advice, i tend to think that the other person is an egoistic person. I tend to think that the other person has the thought of being superior to me. The question, "You think that you are so good that you giving ME advice?" always rises. Very very hard for me to take it as an advice rather than insult.

Also, questions and statements like,

"You think i am bad and useless?!"
"You know nothing about me, dont judge me by my looks!"
"Why dont you correct yourself first?!"

InsyaAllah i will strive to avoid from such things to happen again. Please, my dear friends, give me and each other advice and tazkirahs (reminder) often. Give it with the intention 'for Allah's pleasure', and also accept advice with the intention 'for Allah's pleasure'.

Insya-Allah

Why all the fuss?

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

InsyaAllah, everyone is in their best of Iman and Islam.
I would like to say something about this blog site. Something that maybe a lot of people have been wondering. Questions like: Why am I doing this? Out of all the things that can be written in the world, why do i bother writing about stuffs like this?

InsyaAllah, I am not doing this because i think that i am better than anyone. I deny that message. The only purpose of the previous posts is just to seek the pleasure of Allah.

Please check the following ayat,

Surah Al-Muddaththir (74): Ayat 1-3

English: O thou wrapped up (in the mantle)!
Malay: Hai orang yang berkemul (berselimut),

English: Arise and deliver thy warning!

English: And thy Lord do thou magnify!
Malay: dan Tuhanmu agungkanlah

Surat Al-Asr: Ayat 1-3

English: By (the Token of) Time (through the ages),

English: Verily Man is in loss

English: Save those who believe and do good works, and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance.

Beautiful, short and direct ayats from the Quran is stated above. These ayats though short, holds a very huge demand on Muslims. It obligates us to make dakwah to other people, Muslims and non-Muslims. Obligates us to 'exhort one another to truth'.

As stated by a fellow Muslim, the human heart fluctuates more than the fluctuation of a boiling water. The heart requires constant reminder. Reminder of the Day of Judgement, of the hellfire and such.

As in the Day of Judgement, we will be questioned for all our responsibilities. Thus, to save ourself we must remind ourself, our friends and everyone towards the truth, towards Islam, towards Allah S.W.T. Also, we must seek reminder from others.

Insya-Allah.

Why Living 2 : Further Reading

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
(peace be upon you and the mercy of Allaah and His blessings)
(Kebahagiaan untuk mu, semoga rahmat and berkat Allah ke atas mu)

Hope this post meets you in your best of heatlh, and more importantly in strong pleasure of Islam and Iman. This post is to quote some sources that i have used to write the previous post of 'Why Living 2?' and insya-Allah bring more confidence.

The ending section of the last post emphasized the importance of doing something for the sake of pleasing Allah. Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad, a prominent Muslim scholar made a very nice and beautiful explanation on this topic. The way he approached this problem is very clear and enlightening. Hope you all could download this short 11 mins talk and listen to it. Insya-Allah, it will help clarify any doubts.
Talk

The written explanation to the above is found in the following link. You could read all if you have the time, but if little busy, please scroll down to the section titled "Every Act Is Worship" and have a short read.

Why Living 2?

The ayat that was in the post, "Why Living?" is a direct command by Allah to Muslims. Clearly, we are required to dedicate our whole life in worshipping Allah. We all know what is expected from us, but do we know how do we fulfill this simple order from the Lord Of Universe?

We heard before that each and every single thing that we do in our daily life can be transformed into an act of worship. As stated by the Creator of Universe in the holy Quran.

Surah Al- An'am, Verse 162.
English: Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds:
Malay: "Katakanlah: ""Sesungguhnya salat, ibadah, hidup dan matiku hanyalah untuk Allah, Tuhan semesta alam,"

This is actually a very serious matter. Imagine the difference between these two people. First is a person that prays five times, with sunat prayers, reads the holy Quran, does not leave Zikr and does charity once a while. The second person does all those of the first person and also manage to transform his daily life into worship. This might seem small, but at a closer look, the man worships by eating, sleeping, stuying, walking, talking, 'blogging' and all.

The second dude fulfills the demand of both the ayats. He will lead a beautiful life, where everything he does is for Allah. Later, in the Day of Judgement, he would be able to tell his lord that he lived his life, only seeking for redha of Allah. Also, if anything goes wrong, if anything fails, he will not break down and cry. He will leave it all to Allah, since he knows that everything, matter not good or bad comes from Allah. As we repeat at least 17 times a day.

Surah al Fatihah, verse number 5.
English:Thee (alone) we worship; Thee alone we ask for help.

Obviously, some conditions apply. As follows,
1) Niat, Sincerely done for the pleasure of Allah.
2) Act is valid, not forbidden by Allah.
3) Done for the good.
4) Must do our best.
5) Never leave the fundamental ibadah (Prayers, fasting and such).
6) Should have good consequences.

Insya-Allah, all the things we do daily fulfils the above conditions. We only need to incorporate Condition No 1, and make sure we check it everytime.

Niat, can be checked and renewed by saying a short prayer everytime before we do something. The prayer is as follow,

Surah Al-Fatihah, Verse Number 1
English: In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Malay: Dengan menyebut nama Allah Yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Penyayang.

Simple eh? Haha. Lets do it, then.

Why Test?

Assalamualaikum, My dear friends.

Subhanallah. Some unfortunate incident had happened to me. My laptop's hard drive is roasted. Thus, i would be unable to post as regularly as i wanted to.

Yes, i am very disturbed by it, but, it must have some 'hikmah' behind it.
Insya-Allah, i would be back in Penang by the 6th Dec. And, probably could get it fixed within a week after that.

Till then. Miss you all. Bye
