Why Living : Further Reading

The Post entitled, "Why Living?" was written after lenghty research into the question of, "What is the purpose of life?". But, it by no means represent the complete set of answers to the question. Personally, I believe that the answer to the question is far more complex than what i have written.

Hope that we will keep on searching for the answer. As simply put by a fellow Muslim writer in his site,
"I personally believe that people are generally divided into three broad categories with respect to learning: Those who believe that either they know everything, or what they know is the only correct thing; those who know that they are unaware of certain facts, but they will not make an effort to discover those facts; and lastly, people who understand they are ignorant about a few things, but they honestly and objectively make an effort to find the reality and live by it."
Expression of God's Mercy upon Mankind

I do pray that all of us are in the third group, and if we keep on searching for the answer, we are bound to find it. Just for further reading, i recommend this site. It is written by a prominent Muslim writer. Please check it out.

The Purpose of Creation Revised Edition

No matter who wrote or said anything, it is not necessarily true. Just keep in mind that, the Quran is our only undisputed source.

Why Living?

Hello, here i am. This time the post is about something more serious than previous post.

Well, at one point in everyone's life, they usually will stop for a while, sit down and ponder on the thought of, "Why am i here?" And, at this point, few things could happen.

1) They might just take the easy way out. Believe in the Theory Of Evolution. Since they 'evolved' from monkey, and monkey's dont worry about any purpose of life, they do not have to do so too. Thus, they come to the conclusion that man has no purpose in life.

2) A little bit more serious type, they will try to look for it around themselves. Ask their parents, friends, and such. Some lucky to find answer, some just settle down for simple solutions. Such as find lots of money, make everyone happy, try to achieve peace in the world or even think of contributing something to their country.

3) Insya-Allah. The real lucky ones, the guided ones will find the true answer. Given to us by the Lord of Universe, The Creator, The Exalted in Might, the Wise, Allah. Think of it, who could ever tell you the purpose of yourself if not your Creator. And, yes. The Creator did tell us the purpose of our life. He did not leave us all alone, he sent multiple Messengers with each bringing the message of Islam. The Final Prophet, Muhammad (Peace be upon him), through him Allah have explained everything that we should know. The Quran states the following.

In the Surah Saad( 38), Verse number 27

English: Not without purpose did We create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of Unbelievers! but woe to the Unbelievers because of the Fire (of Hell)!

In this verse, Allah refutes the view that human are made purposeless. And, went further to say Unbelievers have such thought, and warns about the fate of them.

In the Surah Dzariyat (51), Verse number 56

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ

English: I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.
(Malay : Dan Aku tidak menciptakan jin dan manusia melainkan supaya mereka menyembah-Ku)

One short verse, but it has the answer to probably the most fundamental question ever to be pondered by man. Yes, the answer is there, we know what we have to do.

But, do we know how to do it?
I will try to address this in the coming post. Insya-Allah.

Why I was gone?

Hello, Its been a month and 11 days since my last post. And, now i am back posting. With new stuff, and Insya-Allah, i will continue posting.

I have just finished my lovely exams last week. There were 4 papers with all hard questions. Alhamdulillah hi rabbil alamin. All praise be to Allah, the God of universe, it is all done.

I will be going back on the 6th of December 2005. From Melbourne, to Penang Island. Lovely state, Food Island is. Miss it like hell, only Penangites can understand my feeling. Haha. Well, since i will be in Malaysia for about 3 months, i hope that most of us can meet each other. Will be looking forward to it.

Just a brief intro after a long while of disappearance. I have something major, something life-changing, something spectacular to share with all of you. So, please do come again.

Thanks
